EXPLOSION

Guys, I was testing a engine and slight moving the throttle and when I was decelerating (very slowly) at 1500 RPM a EXPLOSION sound just happened.
I nearly crapped my pants
Occurs on any engine. Just accelerate to 6000 RPM and decelerate to 2000 and then very slowly to 1000. At 1500 the sound explodes. Accelerating or decelerating this occur on that especific RPM just after rev the engine a bit.
