Do we receive Steam key when the game is released?

If I preorder the game now, will I receive a Steam key when the game is added to the Steam store? I played the demo and I really like it, and I would like to preorder the game, but this is something I would like to know before buying it.
Also, have you tried to add the game to the Desura platform?

I'm not sure, if we have the ability to easily give everyone a steam key then we will, if not then we will continue to maintain two separate versions. Until we manage to get greenlit, we know as much about the Steam process as you do

Oh, Yep, we know the Desura guys (they're a Melbourne company), but we're still pondering if its worth putting it up there.

Even if you don't get a steam key, I think they are working on more payment methods so you can easily buy it directly from the website and have a basicly DRM-free copy since you only have to activate it once to play.
