When you select AWD for the 10s hatchback, and you try to make a v6, this engine doesn't fit inclusive with 589cc v6 naturally aspirated engine. With the longitudinal engine.

A v8 can be fitted in the same car.

Why?

AWD systems take up more space. In my MurciƩlago body, RWD can fit an 11.4L V12, AWD can only fit an 8.4L V12. Engine configuration and the drivetrain will make a huge difference in the amount of space you have.

But if you can't fit a v6 but you can fit a v8...

It might be a bug, I just checked it and you cannot fit a longitudinal V6 with a AWD system in that body, because "it's too long". But you can fit a bigger Inline 6 with the same configuration (longitudinal AWD)

Engine placement is borky in longitudinal AWD, which is why smaller engines don't fit even though larger ones of different configurations do.

That car isn't the only one to present similar issues. There are also some cars that can still fit engines but much smaller than in longitudinal RWD. The not-defender for example can fit a 5+L I6 in RWD configuration, but is limited to not much larger than 2L in AWD configuration.

It is a known issue but I don't know when they plan on fixing it.
