Loving the game but just wanted to know is there any plans to make it run more stable on xp I'm run 3.6ghz p4 with 4gb ram and a nvidia gt218 1.4ghz 1gb ram and even on mid range quality it's laggy I would go lower but then it gets to low on quality to see what your making if there's any tips to help me out that would be much appreciated already have everything set to give me performance over graphics
Re: XP issues
Did you uncheck Screen Space Ambient Occlusion? That's the real killer for fps. Also, I think the game just generally doesn't play too nice with XP, some people have even been unable to play it on XP.
If you can afford it, you could change OS as a last resort, as a newer OS would yield quite a few benefits in other situations, but I think turning off SSAO is the first thing you should try.

Re: XP issues
Will knock that off then thanks I mean it's not unplayable but just slow I was going to put a better os on it but it's not worth it was a cheap office one I got cheap so added a few bits but never been a big pc gamer so never went daft
Re: XP issues
I think the problem you'll be having here is CPU related. We pretty much call a dual core of some kind the minimum CPU spec, so I'd expect it to be fairly laggy on a P4 sadly.

Ssao gone as well a fxaa and is a lot better even able to run graphics on full and is much more stable not even crashed yet having a few solid hours play so could be more a compatability issue with things like ssao and fxaa on xp os still set up for performance and same with graphics card so will also try this set up on my old laptop it's slightly newer running vista but doubt it but may as well give it a bash

I dont want to sound rude but it would be great if you used punctuation so we could read your sentences easier and with stops like you are supposed to and probably learned in school because otherwise it doesnt make a lot of sense do you get it
Anyways, great you can play the game now. Have fun!

Re: XP issues
Sorry but the devs said they are partially porting the game over to unreal, This means they have to drop XP support, so you will need 7 or higher.
