Suspension Presets

Been playing a lot with the new market stuff on the open beta and this issue is starting to become more evident because of the new market stats and competition.

The suspension predefined setups are never even close to the best result. I never get good market shares with the presets.

Killrob said in a LDU vid that the market competition had an handicap to balance new players with more experienced ones. But even with an handicap new players will never get top share, or close to it, unless they tune the suspension.

For starters all the setups are too soft.

Yes, you are correct, the suspension presets don't work well anymore after there have been too many changes to the game since their last refinement. We'll change that in the upcoming shorter subproject which focuses on a lot of rebalancing.
Cheers!

is there a way to add a +/- button? like sport+ preset, which would sit between sport and full fledged race

Sure, that would be possible, but you're overshooting the goals of the system quite a bit. It is supposed to give people who know nothing about suspension setups a decent setting to use without modifications. It is NOT supposed to be THE solution to suspension setups, it's not supposed to be perfect or even close to perfect. The current problem is that it is far far away from that mark.

Press the [Sport] button, then press it again - it firms up the springs and shocks a few ticks on the second press.

You can do that with any of the presets, Sport 1 and 2, Comfort 1 and 2, etc.

Don't get too violent against yourself :P that's not a thing in the game, just his suggestion.

What?

I wasn't making it up, it definitely happened, or, at least I thought it did....

I'll try it out again tonight, although I've been through a few updates, but I swear it did.... Maybe I had adjusted numbers myself without realizing it...

Cobalt, if I'm wrong, I swear to Killrob that I wasn't trying to mislead anyone here.

Relax dude LOL! :P Killrob is just saying that it's not a "feature" in the game... probably a small bug - which I can confirm exists.

Yep, had it happen again last night, clicked comfort twice by accident and had the shock weights change and nothing else.

Seems to only happen the first time you load a car and double click a preset.

Yeah, I checked this today. It will bump the spring stiffness up by a notch if you click a second time, but only once.
