Joint venture, technology licensing

Hello to everyone,

It is provided joint venture and technology licensing to a.i. companies?
For example joint venture may be useful to reduce r&d research or to degrease development cost of new engine or chassis.
Technology licensing could be useful acquire new suspension or injection system at zero r&d cost and time to market or if i am a little company
I can invest more into r&d for my cars and after i offer my technology to the others in order return from my investment.

That's an interesting thought, we don't plan on implementing that as we have company buy-outs that would transfer tech in a less friendly way :) if we get around to it we'll definitely consider implementing collaboration / joint ventures. I think that would make sense in a multiplayer setting.

Re: Joint venture, technology licensing

maybe some kind of negotiation system were you give them some stuff and they give you some stuff in exchange.
For example if you are an European company used to small 4 to 6 OHC cylinder engines you might want to license V8 OHV engines for the US market.
