Modern turbocharger technology + antilag systems

Before I start, I'll make one thing clear: yes, I know that the engine designer will not be getting new features at the moment.
Where on the to-do list are modern turbocharging technologies such as twin scroll turbo and variable-geometry turbo? I'm having to choose between turbolag and high power output when designing engines (that or I fail at making engines). Most of my engines reach max turbo pressure at 2900-3100RPM with a lower boost pressure.
Will we be getting antilag systems for turbos, and if so, where in the to-do list are these? Throttle bypass, inlet bypass/secondary air injection, turbo & intercooler bypass and so forth.
Is it possible to put turbocharger related stuff higher up on the to-do list?

Anti lag, as in the deliberate backfiring of the engine to keep the turbo pressure up and at the same time destroy the catalytic converters and chew up the turbine fins?

Anti-lag systems aren't used in any production car, whereas variable-geometry turbos and twin-scroll turbos are very common in nowadays cars.

They have said that the forced induction calculations are to be revamped after the campaign mode comes out. It's been mentioned that both variable vane/geometry turbos and sequential turbos are very likely, but as far as I know are not officially confirmed. Twinscroll turbos I think are actually confirmed, or at least daffy is really eager to have them.

Audi is developing a electric engine fitted in the turbo to rev the turbine. The same with the next gen of GT-R.
Other questions: any date to release the superchargers? Because I see a preview from 2012 of Automation with the supercharger:

There were a few WRC homogenous production cars (less than 2-3000) which had parts of the system installed but even the ones with full systems were not actually active from the factory. They are not street legal anywhere as far as I know.

Turbo tech will get some major tweaks to make sure you can actually make modern turbos that spool up at low RPM, rather than the laggy 80s crap we have now
Will probably add Twin Scroll then too I'd say.

I try to use this existing thread, and I think it's an already known argument:
what about supercharger?
Don't know if the term is correct, I refer to mechanical supercharger:
And on: maybe the option to use both a supercharger and turbocharger?

Roots, twin screw, and centrifugal superchargers are planned. Twin charging, the use of both turbo and superchargers, have been discussed but not confirmed, as far as I know.

Any update on the use of supercharger? Also I do not like the new style of naming the cars and engines. the categorizing doesn't work, the old style of naming the engines and models worked much better, was MUCH simpler, and organized by name.

What do you mean update? They have said they are going to make all three kinds of superchargers, but it's on the back burner till after the tycoon elements are added.
