Better to wait for Steam Early Access?

Hi Everyone,

This is my first post on this forum as I just found out about this game and tried the demo. I was really impressed with the game and read up on it a bit. Especially the Tycoon part will eventually be fantastic I think.

I noticed that this game will probably be released on steam as an early access game. However, I'm a bit in doubt. Should I try to buy the game now or wait for the steam release? I do not have a Paypal account so that also is a lot of hassle for me right now to get the game, which I would rather avoid. Therefore I would rather buy it through steam, that is if it will not take more than a month anymore.

Can someone give me some advice on this?

You don't actually need a PayPal account yourself to pay via it.

steam has already green-lit the game, it's a question of a month or two before official steam release

Ok, thanks a lot both of you for your replies. If indeed it takes like 1 month or so I can wait. It will also be more convenient as they do not have to swap out keys of steam etc, but I will also look into paying using paypal without an account. If feasible then I might do that.

Re: Better to wait for Steam Early Access?

I think 1 month sounds rather unlikely. There is still quite a fair amount left to do before the next public release comes out. A bad Steam launch could seriously "hurt" this game, so lots of balancing, lots of polishing, lots of bug removing. To be honest I would be surprised to see this out before Christmas.

So, expect it to be released near the end of the year on steam. A rough guess, based off of previous dev statements, would say probably close to two to two and a half months, but for sure more than one and probably more than a week or two into the third one, leading towards the idea of about mid December. This is a wild guess though, and should not be taken as a date.
