Next update ETA?

Hey guys,

I don't want to bug the devs, but I haven't heard anything on the next update. Do we have a ETA on the next update and what will be included? :)

Thanks

Yes, everything takes longer than expected, but as a plus, everything becomes more awesome than expected too. :D

Taken from here. Though this topic focuses more on the actual Steam release, rather than the next update. The underlined part is what I focused on.

The next update brings some Car Designer scenarios, and some additional stats from what I believe. And this update will come before the first tycoon elements are implemented. So A good estimate would be from maybe 1-4 months? (I'm probably as bad at estimates as the Devs themselves :P.

Considering some new beta testers have just been selected to test the new build, there are obviously still some things that need to be polished up before the next update becomes even a slight release candidate. As far as I know, if there was an ETA, they would have announced it. The devs said themselves that they're bad at estimating release dates, but they also never hide dates if they know a reasonable estimate.

I'll let the devs elaborate on this, as - knowing me - I have probably got some stuff wrong :P..

Re: Next update ETA?

Yeah, still quite a few things to fix up, but I'd estimate around 3 weeks of more work on getting this update out, but that may change as we encounter more things to be tuned.

No offense, I know you don't want to bug the devs... but this question gets asked every month at least. It just comes as it comes, really.

Well, that only means something isn't communicated clearly enough, is it?
I can't remember what game it was, but the developers had a small banner on top of every page with a progression bar towards the next update. I loved it, instantly knew when to expect an update.

Re: Next update ETA?

We always communicate update dates once we're sure of them, but we're not usually able to accurately predict what update dates until fairly close (a week or two) to release time. We did used to give dates more often, but that tended to just annoy everyone when it turned out we were wrong about the date!

Re: Next update ETA?

Exactly... thats the same reason im not giving out a date on when the first part of AutomationHub will be available until we are close to finishing that particular part which will be opened to the public

Where we at with an update? The "What are we working on" says next update around June/July. Are we going to see an update by the end of the month?

Either end of the month or very early next month I'd say. Making good progress :)

Re: Next update ETA?

I myself can agree with the "More youtube videos" comment. Though that's not to say I'm not super excited for release.

Killrob has an incredibly relaxing voice and an entertaining method with which he goes about most of them, so, more Killrob for the Automation throne, or something like that.

Re: Next update ETA?

Thanks guys!
Currently I'm away for a week, so no videos until at least Wednesday. :) The update is going well though, I think we now have everything in that we planned, plus the new UI which was planned first for the next subproject originally, but so it goes! Lots of bugfixing going on right now.
