Getting Automation without Steam

Hello,

I stay away from things like steam and valve, and prefer to have my games alone the old school way. I am glad you received steam approval as this will expose a wider audience to Automation, but I was wondering if we'll still be able to download the game from your website afterward and receive updates the way we do now.

I don't think they will close the sale on their homepage, because Steam takes about a 30% cut of the payments and it really helps more to get it directly. Since I don't think that Steam will feature a different version (just the standard requirement of Steam running) the launcher will update just as it does now (or think of the F2P titles: You get the launcher and sometimes registration through steam but after you started the launcher, it updates independently)

This is guessing based on how "SpooderW" handles it with Paranautical activity.
