Wheel in the Designer Demo.

Quick question.
How hard would it be to program the car designer so that the wheel follow the edge of the wheel-arch, when you widen them.
As it is now, every hatchback looks like a rally car with narrow winter tyres.
And narrower track width than with the wide summer tyres.

Re: Wheel in the Designer Demo.

I would just like to drop this in, im not a dev, but know for a fact that the track width of the wheels will be adjustable in the game. I don't see a reason that the devs would take time to program something that they aren't going to have in the finished product. They will allow for any fender width, with any tire/track width. I definalty don't want my wheels to move with the fenders at all..I also want to create a car with the wheels/tires sticking way out like a legends racecar. So, the wheels will be adjustable, and I don't think they will make the wheels move with the fenders as that is not what the finished game will have... be patient folks, I have waited a long time as well, but am totally willing to wait on the most awsome car designing/tycoon game. If your really good with microsoft pait, or photoshop, you can make your cars look better, but this is nothing you could use in the game.

Re: Wheel in the Designer Demo.

Of course making the wheels broader or more narrow will be implemented later on.
The main focus is on designing the car bodies. Next step is to be able to add your designed engine to the car and get statistics for the car working.
According to a recent video of Killrob, adding the engine will be there in about 1 month, statistics will be there end of October, with quite some more bodies and fixtures.
I take that the rims and wheels will be included in that part. After October the main focus will be on the tycoon part of the game.
So I think you might have to wait 2 months before it is ingame. It is not as simple as you explained it. In theory it works, but in practice it's a hell of a job.

Tyre width/wheel offset will be part of the mechanical side of things, yep.
