Not quite sure if I am in the right place but I do have questions for you, the developers. If this is not the best place, please let me know and move it to the best place.

Every corporation have their own Emblem, a way for people to recognize the car, model and who made it. I am wondering if there will be any way to design your own Emblem and place it on the car you make? Will you be able to put letters on the car?

When designing the car, will there be a symetrical and asymetrical tool? Some cars are not symetrical as far as I know, some have some cool designs on the hood.

Also, I LOVE company/tycoon games and I am pretty sure this game can go far due to the way you are designing it. To make it as realistic as possible. My boyfriend would LOVE this type of game and so do I! Can't wait for the full game to be released! <3 But I will try to wait patiently, haha! Take all the time in the world to make this game one of the best! <3

Definitely the right place to ask, and good questions too.
Car badges will be in the game in some way, we still have not figured out the "how" quite yet, but it's on our to-do list.
Asymmetrical designs are definitely interesting, but I don't think they'll make it into the game as there are more pressing matters.
Would be an interesting aspect to explore in add-ons though!

Maybe you can give players the opportunity, to select a basic shape, just like the car bodies, and then just extrude, pinch etc. to make a logo they want? For colours on the logo, you could use various meshes that can be coloured by selecting a colour, then clicking on the part you want to have that certain colour?

Yeah, I agree that asymetrical designs should be an DLC or something like that. But Emblems I think should be added when the game is released. The cars will look, naked, without one, don't you think? :p

shouldn't be very hard to do and could be a home run in that departament

problem in that would be the lack of emboss, although, the image could be uploaded over an embossed shaped and just positioned over and cropped accordingly

Exactly! You could design a logo from an exterior program or just get an already existing emblem by uploading the image...

Yeaaah about that. Not hard to do BADLY, but getting it to actually work well...

Daffy im sorry, i know how cars work, not graphic design, i just imagined that making a set of shapes would be a hell-of-a-lot easier to do then a bunch of preset car logos

Nah, preset ones will be super easy really, just model some badge shapes the same way grilles work. Only downside is that the badges have to be symetrical too, so something like Chevy Badge would work, but something like a Holden Badge would not.

how about simple stuff, for instance, a circle which is embossed and then just add something on to it, like a JPEG flat surfaced emblem, should do the trick

It kinda.. doesn't work like that. They need to be turned into an actual mesh that can deform around the car nicely, which is really really nasty to do proceedurally

Well, asymmetrical badges work nicely now.

But no, you still won't be able to do custom ones in game.
