Re: old saves

No that is not what the instructions said.
You are supposed to run the program and then copy from engines.txt to engines.xls and from models.txt to models.xls. Why are you copying a chunk of lua between completely unrelated files?

Re: old saves

If it crashes it should normally show the exact error.

P.S. possible related to Windows version, I did not do any testing. Sorry if I couldnt help you. But whatever you do don't delete your lua files, 'k? The community will eventually provide a way to recover the most important of your settings! If you really have 200 engines, you should be able to at least recover the settings like bore stroke, compression cam, turbo etc

PPS. If you want you can also send me your lua files of your engines (but zip or 7z them) and I will put the data into Excel for you.

Re: old saves

I am having a very similar issue. Upon launch, the LuaCSV.exe fails immediately. Could this be an issue with the files (LUA) in the models/engine folders? Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is a fantastic idea by the way!

Re: old saves

No, I first thought the same but it worked even with his 200 or so files. First, you must be more specific as to what errors you get when you launch. I think you have some newer OS and no .NET 2.0
I dont want anyone to experiment with their computer for such a small program. Just post your engine files here in this thread and someone will help you.

Re: old saves

Here is another listing. Not quite so many as the last one. By the way isomgmsghs looks like you have some cool builds! (I only looked at the names :D)

Re: old saves

Here you are my friend
Models_Engines.zip

PROTIP: next time dont upload "file.php" and expect that the other person renames it to "file.zip"
perhaps you didnt see that but that's why I always check my own downloads ;)
anyway, it wasn't a very tough nut to crack

Re: old saves

Thanks! I am not sure I understand your suggestion/protip though. I did not see a .php extension. I must have missed something?
