Are you guys even serious? Why are you feeding the troll? There clearly was a sign around his .....

I got my degree in Game Design and Technology and yes I made games in class, but this is NOTHING compared to what Andrew and Caswal are doing here! Not even talking about calculations, betatesting and all the other stuff KillRob, Der Bayer and the whole betatest crew do!

No, they were obsolete in the 1920s, the game starts in 1946. May I suggest watching this video:

I think it'll answer all the questions I'm sure you're dying to ask (and in some cases, ask multiple times).

Everybody missed this question, so I shall ask it... Why?!?!?!![]()
But seriously, wouldn't you rather build far more interesting engines than a 1L triple that is designed to save Ford money? The concept behind Automation is to build the cars you'd make if you could, not re-create an engine that you can go outside and experience in far richer detail than Automation could ever provide...
If you're bored then enter the community challenges; you'll learn lots about designing within set parameters and the joys/pains of peer evaluation. I personally have learnt heaps about how this game works by having my backside handed to me in every car comp I've entered...![]()
*shakes head* Kids these days... *wanders off mumbling under my breath*
but ive already made everything

im no troll, just someone that wants more in engine designing. almost infinite variables to make custom engines and to make the perfect engine.

We're making a game, a game needs to be playable and fun. Maybe you're looking for something more like a desktop dyno application? Automation is borderline too complex already, there won't be more options (apart from what has been stated 100s of times already). Also, please watch the video linked by SlimJim.

Re: engine
Well as long as it clears up some issues and questions you and other people have.
