Where are rally cars?

Hey on the Buyer list that just got released i couldn't help but notice, where are the rally cars?
Utility sport would be close but doesn't really cut it since that doesn't use power/off-road in a large enough fraction to be considered Rally.
That and rally cars have no use for utility
Should be more like the track cars but with off-road taking into consideration.
Or is there a reason for it being missing/am I blind?

Point out a few true rally cars that are produced for sale, and the devs will consider it.

Rally cars don't really have any real market in real life.
As for track cars, even though their market is fairly small, it does exist. The Porsche GT2/GT3 are good examples of cars meant for that market.

Also, if you were thinking about the Lancer Evolution and Impreza STI, those would fit on the budget sport category. In fact, I think it was used as an example by one of the testers.

Fair enough, just thought that they could be an easy thing to put in, but makes sense why not.

Rethinking about it, if you make what could be considered a road legal rally car, like a stripped STI with a crazy engine and no mufflers, it would fit in the track car category fairly well.
Only difference with a rally category would be offroad capability, but even rally cars wouldn't have super great offroad stats if you equip them with road rally suspension and tires.

The WRX STi has a history of being sold from the factory in stripped-down, race-tuned trim such as the the Spec-C and Type RA-R. No modification required.
"Track" should be renamed to "Race" to reflect that many rally cars were actually sold in road-legal trim due to homologation requirements. That and there's a larger market for road-legal race variants of cars than there are for expensive track toys like the Ariel Atom or KTM X-Bow (if only because said requirements force manufacturers to move x number of units.)
Or maybe "Homologation" should be its own category.

The short answer is "almost all of Group A and descendants thereof due to homologation".
So where's my free Rally DLC?

hold up..
you have AWD with power delivery slider, customizable (to a degree) gear ratios, and a possibility to make pretty much any power you want..
where's the problem?
GO MAKE YOUR OWN!

Rally cars are track cars, they would not off-road well at all - please consider that a gravel road still is a road

Ahhh right right now that I look at it closer it makes sense lol, thought off-road would be anything that isn't pavement not just anything that isn't a road lol. Thank you

Dirt roads are also roads. Otherwise they would just be called dirt.

Well, you would need some off-road capability to go on most dirt roads, as something like a Veyron would probably be scraping all over the place, but for the most part it is not really "real" off-roading.

That would be more on the "bottom out" penalty. Off road would mean non level surfaces, ditches, and rocks, stuff like the top gear boliva special.
