So I searched and did not even find the word mentioned.. maybe it's too early so I'm posting in this section.. Please don't hate me... :D

I think it would be really cool if there were some heavy multiplayer functions. Showing on a map where other players companies were. Being able to buy other companies engines. Outsourcing tuning. Maybe even market saturation. This all has it's pros and cons. I realize its very early to think about this but also maybe not as I would imagine the foundation of the game would need to have this in mind.

Just want to hear everyones thoughts...

Next time search better :D

This type of stuff has been talked about before, and sure seem like a good idea. Though, We (and probably the devs too) dont know how the tycoon part of the game will DEFINITELY take shape yet, so the way everything works is uncertain. Its a good idea nevertheless to be able to outsource, and buying other companies that are going bankrupt and such. Tuning engines will be hard, but buying engines from other competitors is definitely an option.

Here was a response to a virtually identical question:
Will you be able to sell your created vehicles online to others, as you would expect a car dealer to do?

Will there be sort of a co-op online mode where you could work with friends online, like sharing a garage, and build vehicles together, or have teams where both parties are "branded" the same?

Multiplayer would be similar to the kind of multiplayer in games like OpenTTD, Railroad Tycoon, Cities in Motion 2 etc. In that you'll be running companies that are all selling cars in the same world, competing for sales, buying each other out, etc.

Coop will be possible, in that more than one player could share control of a company, so two people could collaborate to manage a massive worldwide company if they wanted.

You won't be able to sell your cars themselves to other players, you'll be selling them to the simulated world market that you're all playing in, although other companies will be able to buy designs off you if you allow them to.

I don't blame you for not finding this, for what I ended up having to search to find this was online sharing designs. Just remember to search similar terms too, like sharing/selling, online/multiplayer, and designs/engines/bodies (Change out the words if you cannot find it).
This info is slightly outdated, but I don't see it changing as of right now. (I may be wrong)

Yeah, the search function is a bit pants I'm afraid. We should probably look into a better solution for searching the forums.
