Multiple Companies

Will it be possible to buy out your opponents, or in turn be bought out by them? This could lead to interesting mechanics and much larger companies. The first example of what I was thinking is GM, can't think of any others off the top of my head.

All of them! Think of any modern car company and it either owns one or more others or is owned by one or more others. There may be exceptions to this but I can't think of any.

As for what you're asking. I too am curious about this.

You are missing the Fiat group! It includes Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Chrysler and probably a few others.

There is also Peugeot-Citroen and Renault and Nissan which have some kind of alliance.

Yes, for example you forgot that Fiat Chrysler Automobiles owns also Maserati, Dodge, Iveco, CNH and other brands that I don't remember now (also dead brands like Innocenti).

Wasn't Hyundai bought out by Chevrolet a couple years ago?

I think you're thinking of daewoo. The parent company sold it to GM in 2001.
In 2005 they rebranded the cars as Chevrolet in Europe and now they are withdrawing completely by 2017.
The remains of the daewoo car company is called Gm Korea

That list is missing many lol.

Under GM in the post war era

Oldsmobile
Pontiac

*FORD*
Edsel
Mercury

*AMC* and the brands merged into it

Then the other post war companies that were house hold names in the 40s and 50s

Kaiser
Fraiser
Tucker
Hudson
Henry J
Imperial *was a model of a Chrysler branched off into separate brand
Willys
Continental* Was a model of Lincoln that branched off into separate brand
Studebaker
Packard
Nash
Rambler

Just some food for thought :geek:

As in other Tycoon games, can we choose the number of opponents? This is a game after all.
