What i'd like is full customization. Positive displacement supercharger+twin turbo. Size choosing (1.6l-12l). Porting. Pulley choosing. Nitrous. Different throttle body types(_cfm-2600+cfm). Stuff like that. Even e85 (cheaper, less efficient race gas in that case)! Methanol injection. Stuff like that! I want to be able to create an engine that would be in a crazy street 2003 cobra, so I can know what it's capable of.

Supercharging: Will come in the near-ish future.
Nitrous: Never in production cars, and never will be.
Size choosing (1.6l-12l): You can already choose sizes from 0.3L to 10.4L. This is certainly enough.
Porting, pulley choosing, different throttle body types: Remember, this is a car tycoon game, not a tuning tycoon game. You would lose the interest of casual fans by adding this.
Methanol injection: See Nitrous.
E85: Will be added, but not at the time of release.

The devs understand that some people would like a tuner aspect to a game, but the idea is to run a company that makes street production cars. You would be losing more fans than the fans you gain. It would add unnecessary complexity.

Actually, methanol injection was used on a production car... the 1962-63 Oldsmobile F-85 Jetfire had it.
...but I agree with you, it's beyond the scope/point of the game. Same goes for intercooler sprayers (some Subarus/Evos have them). Just "pretend" it's there when you up the fuel system quality.
