Car Designer UI

In the car designer, I have a small suggestion for the UI in the future. When there are many different types of car bodies, you should classify them by body style. For example, there should be different menus for coupes, small saloons, large saloons, SUVs/MPVs, trucks, and miscellaneous.

You, of all, should know how to use the search function! :P

I believe this has been spoken about atleast 3 times already, haha!
Something like that will happen. Also bodies will become available for certain eras.

Thanks, now I feel like a disgrace to the world (just kidding). In all seriousness, it is little things like that that make Automation such an incredible game. The devs listen to what the players want, and it makes the whole game much easier and more fun to play. This is especially true in the case of the UI. It is by far the most simple-to-use, yet in-depth interface of any automotive game ever.

That is a very dangerous thing to do, but yeah, we try to be open minded where it is useful. NO YOU WILL NOT GET SLIDERS FOR DURATION AND LIFT KTHXBY!!!1!eleven :D

Only made possible by the very low standards in this genre ;) but we'll further improve it. A big step will be if we successfully switch to another game engine.

Nah, listening is not that dangerous. Doing what the players want, on the other hand...

I already suggested this under the suggestions topic.

I agree thought mate, that would be easier to navigate :D

I quoted also KillRob because he is part of the staff, but my real "quote" is for Wizzy's words:

so starting by
"Also bodies will become available for certain eras."

will we be able to project a car with a body 1950-like in the 2010?
Maybe because the 1950 body is cheaper than 2000 body?

(Obviously this question is always about the "low-cost" sub-brand project)

As far as I understood, as soon as a body becomes available, you can keep on using it. Im not sure in how far targetgroups will consider older bodies to be 'dated' and thus decreasing your sales. I dont see how older body design should cost less, though. Fabricating/engineering costs and material costs might fluctuate over time, but I think it stays about the same as a 2000s body when the volume of the car is also the same.

Maybe the devs can clear this up better for you, if they already discussed this on how they will implement it in the game?
