VTEC/VVT rpm engagement setting / notice

i think we need to be able to set the rpm's or see what the rpms they are activated at as it helps some of us make engines that are good for normal driving but give some sportyness to the car when you bring it past normal driving which would sell good so it would be a good thing to have as some of us cant read the engine test chart and figure out when it activates

Yeah, it currently just automatically activates it at the best point to make the most power across the rev range, you can usually see it on the power curve anyhow, plus I'm not sure where we'd find space in the UI to note it.

well just put like a tiny slider below the settings for it and all that like a circle type one that has a block so it cant go past the rpm limit it would work or just move the gui's over and squeeze them together they are kind of loosely fitted but this really should be activated

Oh, there is no point moving the engagment point though, as it's automatically calculated for best performance given the cam profiles you've chosen, you'd only be able to make it worse by changing it.

It's pretty easy to see the changeover on naturally aspirated engines, but on turbo engines it can be tougher to spot. A simple indicator light similar to the wastegate light would be sufficient and relatively compact.

Oh, yeah, that could work and be nice to know when in manual testing mode

I was just thinking, you could even put a dashed vertical line through the dyno graph at the changeover point. That might be easier to implement and for a user to read at a glance.

Maybe, but there are going to be some other lines for actual important things like marking where the peak economy area is and such, so probably best not to confuse it with other lines for less useful information.
