Special Vehicles

Now this idea is a long way off of being important to the game but i just thought i'd put it out here anyways. from what i gather automation is trying to go for a realistic play style which i love and i am wondering if your planning on or have thought about allowing for the creation of an in house tuner on the lines of AMG, SVT, FPV, HSV , TRD, Ralliart, Mazdaspeed etc. almost every company has one

the reason this would be a good idea is because it allows for you to make expensive impractical moon-shot type cars with out being penalized in terms of manufacturing costs and most importantly sales because people know that its not just a car with poor fuel econ its a top tier flagship performance car worth the price.

part of the reason you can't make those kinds of cars without a in house tuner is because a large company will burn through resources by putting too many people on the project and thereby pushing the design time and money off into infinity. plus the production cost of retooling your big factories to make low volume cars would bankrupt you every time you had a model change or wanted to offer the latest tech.

other benefits are that you can get the advanced tech out quickly and with the high model price pay for the development of the tech too, which will trickle down the model line after each passing year.

it would probably be hard to incorporate different bodykits to differentiate the performance models but that would also be cool.

just a thought, maybe I'm biased cause i own an M5 but i would love that as a feature, does anyone else agree.

Re: Special Vehicles

Well, as you'll be able to run multiple brands (like toyota/lexus) you could have one focused on performance cars

Re: Special Vehicles

Re: Special Vehicles

Ahh, I think I see, so like a little baby factory that takes models off the line and makes hot versions without using a whole production line. I quite like that idea. If we can work it in nicely we will :)

Re: Special Vehicles

How about another "division" of the company that you can add to your dealerships or independent and call it a "custom shop" or something along those lines. I just got a dose of watching West Coast Customs and that's exactly how I envision it.
