That i can build a car an sell it by 2 Brands under 2 different names. Like the Nissan Primastar, Renault Traffic and Opel Vivaro.
So factories don't have to matter with wich name it would be sold (for example VW Bora in Germany and VW Jetta in USA) they just know its model XWB47 trim US-2 with engine 2.3L-lessoct engine family I4-2,3-16V.

Probably you will be able to set up subbrands in different ways, as separate companies entirely or with shared aspects. We'll see when we get there!
