Engine type?

I just recently saw a video on this. The axial engine, which is currently being prototyped and such by Duke Engines. I was thinking that maybe it could be part of some DLC in the future, that is if the engines actually make it to a production stage and are used. Just thought I would share it with you guys here because while its not a typical design it's not as radical as some others and seems quite up to par performance wise with modern engines. Well here's a video showing and there are plenty more out there on YouTube.

Re: Engine type?

Ohh, thanks for sharing, that was pretty interesting! :)
I probably don't have to tell you though that this will never find its way into Automation. ;)

Re: Engine type?

All features shalt be:
1. A key technical part of real life car/engine design, a major focus of real life engineers, not a small engineering chore.
2. An interesting design compromise. There have to be advantages and disadvantages to every choice in said gameplay mechanic.
3. A worthwhile trade-off considering both development effort and gameplay value.

If thy suggestion obviously doesn't pass the "3 Suggestion Commandments", thou shalt receive the following answer to your request:
.....

Re: Engine type?

I just watched that video but I am rather impressed by it....shows you what those New Zealanders the home of the toughest Rugby team in the world can do in their spare time when they are not beating the world at Rugby LOL
