How do I increase my acceleration? I'm making a car in 1945, my first sporty-car (I'm roleplaying my own campagn in my mind), and it has a good topspeed of around 220-230 but a horrible acceleration of 0-100 in 12+ seconds. Help would be appreaciated.

That's relatively fast for the time, care to post some specs and pictures so we know what your working with.

True, but it does give some hints. For instance, those wheels look quite large, and the tires quite thin (due to the aspect ratio limitations). I would suggest using smaller diameter wheels, so you can fit wider tires. That should give you some extra traction.

It looks like you have a single single-barrel or eco carb? Get rid of it or make your engine smaller..it's choking your engine to death. I would also suggest checking your compression and air/fuel. I'm guessing a/f is 13.5-ish and compression is above 8? The carbs should fix most of your issues. 9.6% efficiency is horrendous even in 1946!!

I am curious about your bore/stroke, because it seems awfully small for such a high displacement.

I'm going to guess that the stroke is too long as well based on the torque readings. You need an oversquare design to get the revs up and make more power which should also reduce wheel spin off the line.
