I know it is a little thing but I LOVE the option to start without the option menu, little things like that are awesome in my book!

Would this by chance add an "Advanced" section to the graphics settings too, rather than just having a little slider to control everything?

Not until we switch game engine this would be mostly time lost if we did that for our own engine.
