Steam Key conversion

Hi, so how do we convert our existing Automation key to a Steam key? I see there's one on our forum profile, I don't suppose these keys will be one in the same would they?
Also, can any of the existing resources we have from the old launcher be converted to somewhere in Steam? I'm guessing it's a whole fresh download again?
EDIT: Ah, still another 6 hours until its ready, woohoo Friday night people!

In you user control panel where you have your active key right now there will be an option to convert it into a Steam key as soon as the game is on Steam.
Indeed it will be a whole new install and none of the files from he current public version will be used.

Does that mean we will lose all saved engine and car files?

AFAIK the new family system will break all the saves anyway.

Yes, clean sweep! Nothing to do about that. Don't build stuff you MUST keep until the game is actually finished.

Additional info: We've implemented the key conversion tool and will put it live around release, maybe a bit earlier. Cheers!
