Happy holidays!

Next time, please use the search function before posting such a list. All of these questions have been answered previously.

Also, it would help if you posted in the correct section of the forums, this time being "Suggestions".

Re: Christmas Wish list for Automation

This is a wishlist. They aren't really suggestions (although it seems that way).

I can say that only number 3 will be appearing in the near-Christmas update (definitely after). The rest is at least 6+ months off

Are you sure you mean #4? I seem to remember that the devs said that the development time required to get hybrids into the game just wasn't worth it when you take into account the significance of hybrid engines in production cars from 1946 to 2015

Rear engined cars on the other hand may be coming in the next update if Felgen's Porsche 356 pre-A lookalike makes it into the next update

Hybrids aren't coming at all, for now. It is most likely that they will end up being DLC content, added after release.

Rear-engined cars, though, could come at this next update. As of now, they aren't implemented on the beta build.

About the other things, they will come before or together with the full game, which is some months away.

Please tell me you're switching to Unity soon, or do you have a time frame for that? The best part of it seems native support in all three major OS'.

Also, if we're making a wishlist: finished game :p
Personally I'd like to see manhours and MTBF return rather than production units and reliability score of 0-100.

Re: Christmas Wish list for Automation

I am very happy to be proved wrong here, but I think the plan was to switch to unity (or UE4 if that turns out to be better) after the steam release, so the steam release update would be on the current kee-engine but the next update would be on a shiny new engine.

Please don't quote me on that though.

Not quite, Steam release, then tycoon game, then while Rob and the Beta team spend many months balancing the tycoon game, me and Caz will be porting to a new engine. (most likely UE4. Though Unity 5 is potentially still in the running)

It will be done before Christmas, don't you worry :D If not, I give you full permission to do... something (I dunno yet)

Thanks for the info, that makes a lot more sense. It also answers the question that was lingering in the back of my mind as to what the main programmers in automation would be doing when the game is being balanced and more content is being added
