Car Company Strategies
Heyya!
I'm just curious, what kind of strategy would your car company use?
I'm talking about when Automation is done (as in Automation '1.0'), by the way.
My company (Dantisa Motors, for instance) would probably use inline 4/5 engines from the beginning to 1955 or so, because in the early game you probably wouldn't start off with very much money, and inline engines are the best engines for cars which are meant to be built, produced, and sold in the quickest amount of time. Plus, I like the looks of the inline engine for some reason. Around 1955, I'd start using bigger V10's and/or perhaps V12's (more likely V12's because BIG ENGINES MEAN BIG PRESTIGE! xD especially in early years, lol), because Dantisa Motors is essentially going to shape up to be an automation version of Bee-MW, so to speak. For the beginning years, though, the vehicles would be made as simple as possible, because once again money is limited and I'd need as much 'well-known-ness' (like toyota has much more well-known-ness than SSC, for instance.) to build up my company. To be honest, I'd probably stick with about 3 or 4 engines for early game years, because less engine types means LESS CONFUSION! Plus, less engineering time because I'd be using one engine type in about 12 different trims of cars xD. After about 1960 or so, I'd add more engines to the list because that would allow many more trim selections, and I could go different ways with different cars (rolls royce phantom and a ferrari 458 in the same company? Yes please! xD).
That was quite long, but then again company strategies have to be sophisticated in order to allow for many sales!
Let's see what you guys have!
