What time period are you most excited for?

Personally I can't wait for the mid 80's - mid 90's era, the hot hatches, cheap sports cars, crazy sleeper editions of family cars. I can't wait to try my hand at a dodge omni glh, or spirit turbo, ford Taurus sho, escort gt or cosworth, Toyota ae86 ,fx, or the 20valve ae101/111s, buick gnx, and all the rest of them. Modern cars are fun, 60's muscle is classic, but it's always those wild 80's and 90's that I wanted to own.

Re: What time period are you most excited for?

The era of recession, Gulf war, riots, car thieves, joyriders, ram raider? The era that leads to the end of affordable 2-Door Coupe in turn for the SUV? No, I wouldn't get excited for the late 80's-early 90's.

Yes, there were and are cars that are more fun made after this, but the time after WW2 and before 1973 Oil Crisis was a lot more fun for the car people, period.

Depends what you like, I'd agree that I liked the 80s/90s for the same sort of reasons, the rise of the turbo etc.

Re: What time period are you most excited for?

Honestly, I'm also looking forward to the mid-80s/mid-90s period! That allows me to recreate all my real life cars (T-Bird Turbo, Taurus SHO etc.), and cars that I think *should* have been put into production (Ford GN34, Tasca Supermark etc.)!

Like he said, the period until 1970/1973, when man still made real cars and not like some of those ugly toyboxes they make today

Re: What time period are you most excited for?

I'm going with 1952 to 1968. The big golden age of cars, and all the cool carbies and shapes. Also, probably 1946 to 1949 because I just see that era as being the time when cars really became a household term. :)

Re: What time period are you most excited for?

I will have to go with the 1940-1965 time period. The greatest era in auto history, before the governments started dictating what a company can or can't do with their cars. That is what killed the free thinking designers like Exner, and Earl. I bet they are gritting their teeth in their graves seeing what Detroit is pushing out the doors now.

Re: What time period are you most excited for?

I'd have to say the 60's. Why? Well... The crazy, curvy, outrageous prototype style supercars, the muscle cars, the sleek roadsters. The most beautiful cars in the world were produced by the 60's. (Ferrari 330 P4, Ford F3L P68, Porsche 917's, Ferrari 250GTO's, you get the idea.)
