Best Score on 24 Hour Endurance

After an hour or two of hard work, I had finally managed to beat the brutal V8 scenario called 24 Hour endurance.
As the difficulty suggests, this was quite difficult to get right. Has anyone on the boards managed to score Gold or higher on this scenario?

All scenarios are balanced to either maximum score (Edit Correction: 1210 in this case) or slightly higher. It is possible to get platinum definitely :)

Re: Best Score on 24 Hour Endurance

by the maximum score, do you mean the best engine possible for the scenario, or do you have a limit where making the engine any better in a certain aspect will not give any benefit to the overall score?

Re: Best Score on 24 Hour Endurance

Target maximum score for this scenario (brutal) is 1210, so the best possible solution will get that many points. If you manage to be better than all of the testers, you might even get a slightly higher score.

I had a go at it again today and this scenario really is hard, but everything is alright with it. Half an hour of fine-tuning got me to this:

Re: Best Score on 24 Hour Endurance

Whoops, forgot that this scenario is brutal (1210 max) and not insane (1103 max).
The maximum score is the way of balancing the scenarios that we use. It is based on a percentage difference to the best engine you can possibly build.
For example: in tutorial difficulty scenarios your engines can be significantly worse than the perfect engine and still give you a pass. Getting a pass is 1000 points. If we say we allow for engines to pass that could be 50% better, that means (quadratic dependence) 1.5^2 * 1000 = 2250 points maximum score. Platinum rank is always at (max score - 1000) * 0.9 + 1000 or higher.
