To start it off i love the new update its not much, but considering there is only a couple people working on it, it is amazing. The engine room look great, the sounds sound a lot better, the new block material is cool, and the customizable rocker covers ect... oh yah and the i6 obviously. It is all great and i can probably name every little bit from playing it the last couple of days, but im not because i don't want to. so to one of my main points. I have notice a difference in the stats/tests results, everything is a little different, and i like that. It makes it closer to real life engine test results. There is one pert i don't like. The rev's, effect on the bottom end part. What i mean is, i use to be able to make a 9.0 litre, 9000 rev, cross plane V8, but now it cant rev over 7 grand without failing. I have notice the smaller the engine capacity the higher it can rev. i know 9 litre's is extreme, but in real life ,with the right parts, they rev pretty high. up to 9200.
SONNY'S racing engines. look them up. They make engine over 1000ci. yes cubic inches. i dont know how many litres that is, but dang its huge. definitely not street legal though.
well i don''t now what else to say. Great update, and only one problem in my opinion, but i know it with probably be resolved because unlike most games, these producers listen to and comment on peoples input.

1000 Cubic Inches is about 16.4 Litres (I.E a large Tractor engine). Larger engines need lower Compression Ratios and richer fuel mixtures to keep working at higher revs. Also, big Engines tend have longer Strokes, giving better low-down power, but not much up top. Shorten the Stroke a tad and see what happens.

An update like this just shows how some people can work frenetically hard on side-projects (One might even seen it as a hobby) despite having full-time jobs. I know that I would struggle a lot on something as detailed as this if I only had a few hours in a week to work on it.

I love the Dynamic Engine size now, and the different styles and colours available for the Rocker Covers. I-6 Engines now allow me to create a brilliant repertoire of basic engines for Saloons, Estates and slightly sporty cars. Love the V8 Engines too. A lovely, richly aggressive tone that rises up as the engine passes 7500 RPM. I cannot wait for the V16 when this game gets released.

Indeed, I can't wait for the Car Designer. I really get pernickety at how some cars look nowadays, and would relish in the opportunity to create something (Reasonably) original.

I am just waiting patiently to see if I am accepted as a Beta-Tester, so that I can do some hard-core feedback ontop of it all.

Thanks! But I must mention that we went full time about 5 months ago, so its a bit less impressive :D

Regardless, work hasn't really slowed down. You've even had the time to re-visit the Engine Management calculations, as well as working on the Car Designer and Forced Induction (Hours of fun compensating for Turbo lag in high-Power, low Responsiveness engines :ugeek:)

From the latest trailer, at least, it looks like there is going to be Need For Speed levels of car customisation.

I'm far too excited about this game.
