Green Rocket... How Do I Increase My Engine Lifespan?

I'm having a really hard time figuring out how to increase engine lifespan. I've got very high quality parts in the car, and I know lowering revs, ignition timing, cam profiles, etc will increae the life of your engine... but at a cost of too much HP to keep my HP numbers where they should be.

Is there anyone who could explain to me the basics of having a pretty reliable engine that also has decent power?

Put a bigger flywheel on it, also put on the most stock intake you can. Flywheel on mine is 22.5lbs, only at bronze though at the moment.

Looks like the intake was what was killing me... I already had the heavy flywheel on. I was just a few points away from silver... but couldn't seem to squeeze them out.
