How many engine pre car should I made?

While the full tycoon mode is not ready yet, just wonder what engine/car ratio would be reasonable for the final game and IRL.
Conseding customers may need to replace engine in some case, it might not be 1:1, maybe something like 1.x:1? or even goes to 2:1 or even more?

We haven't considered adding "spare parts" because it seems to be a tedious and cluttering game mechanic. We want the player to focus on more relevant and fun aspects of the game instead. :) So just assume with the production of cars and engines you make an appropriate amount of spare parts too.

So as for the game, 1:1 is enough?
I've heard there would be a "engine market" for final game for me to buy stock engine, would I be able to sell my extra engine there as well? Or even be a professional engine maker without building a single car.

Yes, you would be able to sell additional engines on the engine market if someone wants them. :)
You probably could play the game as an engine maker, or at least that is our plan to allow you to do that.
