All the detailed tabs may not actually help you all that much with regards to how to build your car. Without familiarity with how what parts affect which stats, you'll find yourself awash in a sea of numbers!

What I suggest is to actually try to replicate the specs of an equivalent car. Ford Focus? Sure, you can get some sheets on which parts they use. This game's fairly good at simulating most market cars with a small margin of error, so if you just copy the specs, you can then see how far the various parameters are off, and adjust tech sliders accordingly to try to match. Expect the retail price of a car to be 2.5-3 times (at least) the simulated total cost. That'll give you an idea of how the game works too.

I've been seeing some posts on here and I improved a lot my car. My objective is to create a car that is under $25,000 and is comparable to the Ford Focus Hatch 2014-2015. Basically, the engine is a 2.0L 150HP based on the Focus 2015 engine, 7 Gears and FWD. Screenshots here:

There still some things to improve but the base is already made.

Where do they sell a 2015 Ford Focus with 7 gears?

2015 Ford Focus ST

I see a 1.0L and 2.0L engine, 6 gears, FWD/AWD, 16, 17, 18 wheels. Try using that site for some basic specs.

I took some inspiration from the golf too, that's why put a 7 speed DSG in there.

This car is based in the Ford Focus. Its not a copy. And there still somethings to improve

Did you use quality sliders in this car? It is expensive for what it is. Try make something good without relying on the quality sliders. Using usmdftw's pricing formula, it would come to over $46,000. Using my formula which hasn't been updated because I havent had a chance to update my game yet, it would in slightly under that. I think for a ford focus you should aim for something costing no more than 9000

When new members posttheir cars in the car sharing forum, cars that have relied on the quality sliders to make them good get a collective "meh" because anyone can turn the sliders up

Here's a screen cap and my export file so you can poke around a bit.
*edit* roughly comparable to the focus "style" 1.6 powershift, although this has a 6speed auto rather than a 6speed dual clutch.

Hmm I'd thought the consensus for a high volume car like the focus was 2x the cost, where as lower sellers, like say the mustang would be the 2.5-3x cost.
