Don't forget that so far all your car choices are for quite small cars though.

I haven't found a car body that is able to take a square bore 3 litre inline 6 cylinder which is pretty much the same as a Toyota 2jz motor (720mm length). 3 litre inline 6 were pretty common engines pre 2000... here in Australia one of the most popular car engines is a 4 litre inline 6 which has been around in some shape or form for decades which is a ginormous anchor of a thing. From what I know 2-3+ litre 6's also were extremely popular in almost every middle range European car ive ever seen.

Basically I just think people like to make engines and cars that they are familiar with(I do) regardless of the fact that the game only has small car bodys atm.

Yep, and as soon as we have bigger bodies you'll be able to fit decent sized stuff in, don't worry :) I actually own an old Falcon, and I can see you'd need a damned large engine bay to fit a decent sized I6!

Even funnier is the fact that with a 4.0 I6 there is almost enough room to fully stand in the engine bay, Titanic really has nothing over the good ole Falcon lol!

I like the arrows, very straight foward way to show x, y, z clearance. I really like being able to cram a massive v8 in a tiny hatch with bare millimeters to spare, so tight that the arrows go red when the vvl and bypass kick in on the dyno. I can imagine stomping my foot down in that car and watching the hood bulging up trying to hold the power in. :D

So is there a way to know the dimensions that work for a frame? I have a car that says it can hold up to 180L of engine space...and an engine that comes out to 130L but doesn't fit...I assume its height...

Re: Am I doing this wrong? Is there a better way?

Choose a platform, create a new model with that platform, choose to make a new engine. That way you get the three arrows that show the x, y, z dimensions and you see what fits and what doesn't.

Is it just me or car have prefixed engine bay size and changing it shape do nothing.
Also:
Do my 10.6 L V8 (it have 1526 HP  ) will fit to at least one car body?

Prefixed. It tells you the size when you pick the body type but no where else does it seems to change the size.

The body morphing does not have an effect yet on either aerodynamic drag or internal space, it will be covered in a future update. That said, bigger cars with bigger bays will be here in a week or so.
