^^
at 100 $ id never buy a game.
in europe, at least the euro zone, they already increased everything during the switching period to the euro, in austria there was a period where everything had to be priced out in both currencies.
eg.: austria: old currency: Schilling; 13.7603 Schilling = 1 euro*
Album-CD: 199 Schilling
switch: 230 Schilling
now: 16.99 Euro ( = 233 Schilling)
i bought a CD for the old price on the 23rd dec. and couldnt believe my eyes on the 6th jan. in the same store and with the same CD for the new one.....
full price game: 599 to 699 Schilling
now: 49.99 to 59.99 euro ( = 687 to 825 Schilling)
* the . in the schilling is a decimal point, i know im sometimes using the german decimal comma, so just to be sure everyone sees the same value
and i can still remember the 1999 outcry in the german games media about command and conquer for 100 DM. (1.98 DM = 1 Euro) The other games were priced at 80 to 90 DM.
Edit: i write about decimal points, and still used decimal comma *facepalm*
PS: italy had is worse than most. somewhere at about 2k lire where a single euro. think you get your wages and miss three digits, and the rest is cut in half....
