Mtbf?

Hello.

I was just wondering about the Mtbf thing :P Most of my (normal)engines is around 65-75k range and is that good or bad? I think it seems very short, I would expect a engine to last at least a couple of hundred thousand km. Am I completely misunderstanding the Mtbf or..? :P
Thanks :D

Re: Mtbf?

The MTBF is the time between failures, considering that you dont maintenance the engine.

For example:
A 65k MTBF engine CAN fail after 65001km IF there was no service like OilChange/New Filters/Timing Belt.
