VW Group´s awesome ´Autostadt´
It´s a large area with multiple buildings and attractions. Totally worth a visit.
I took some photos in the museum, that i want to share with you. Sadly my Camera, or better said, my smartphone ran out of juice as usual, so i had to rush it.
I´ll try to get there again soon and take time and my camera with me.
Bugatti T57 Atlantic (exact replica, because the originals are worth 30+ million $)
amazing looking car. The panels are riveted together, because they´re made of magnesium, which couldn´t be welded back then (not sure about today).
Audi Sport Quattro
Gotta love this one. Turbocharged 5-cylinder madness. And who doesn´t remember the pikes peak version? ^^
DeLorean not-time-machine
Don´t really know why it was there, but i´m glad they have one since i´ve never seen one in person (because ultra-rare in Germany).
Porsche 964 3.3 Turbo
A car that wants to kill you. How can you not love it?
30´s Rolls-Royce
The...can´t really say ugly, ´cause i love the car, but.. ugliest paint and trim on a beetle EVER.
1966 Oldsmobile Toronado
Sadly not Jay Leno´s Toronado, but it´s got the same look at least ^^
Porsche Carrera GT
Probably the best pure sports car ever made.
Citroen DS
because innovation.
Lamborghini 330 GT
Weird Bugatti Concept car from 1998
now you know where the Veyron got its looks from.
Speaking of Bugatti Veyron
dat intake ! the engine itself looks pretty weird actually. i thought i took a photo, but sadly i didn´t. Also i think this might be a prototype.
Well, let´s get to my highlights:
VW W12 Nardo concept
BEST LOOKING ENGINE BAY EVER!!!
Lamborghini Countach LP400
i wish they had put a late-year Countacgh next to it, just to show how extremely it evolved over the years.
Little fact on the side: Feruccio Lamborghini only owned 2 cars in his lifetime, well, probably more, but only 2 were registered on his name. A white Countach was one of them.
Lamborghini Miura
The car that started Lamborghini sportscars. Known for it´s looks and burning down easily.
Auto Union Typ C racecar
16 cylinders,6 litres of displacement, unbelievable wood-and-rubber suspension and top speed over 200mph. To race this you need balls of steel, which are the size of the moon.
I hope you liked the pictures.
Feel free to comment.
Cheers
