Re: Help us out: The massive engine specs quest!

You could make it staged/flap based (at least initially), so that it's just valving moving like the Peugeot ACAV system or the RX8's multiple intake shutters.
That way all you need to do is show some actuators/solenoid valves switching over and have the engine note alter slightly when it does?

Don't know if this is too late to be useful?

Anyway added some (what I could fit  ) detail on the BMC/Morris/Austin/Leyland A series engine as used in mini's and lots of other stuff. I can answer any questions on these little engines if needed :)

cheers,

Re: Help us out: The massive engine specs quest!

Because we no longer look for more data :) the stuff provided by the community has been a great help! We've extracted the best data out of that sheet and put it into a more testing oriented document which we will use to test engine specs in Automation in order to fine-tune and calibrate things. It's now restricted because we don't want the community to perform now obsolete tasks.

Cheers!

Killrob, maybe unlock that sheet, so the community can post data for other community members?

Re: Help us out: The massive engine specs quest!

Maybe setting it to "everyone can view" would be good... I really don't want people to even arrive at the thought that more engine data would help us, because it wouldn't at this point.
