My car farts out 115 units of pollution, which I don't think is too bad overall.

Engine power range from 84,2 to 320 hp
Torque range from 107 to 332
Loudness range from 20,3 to 44,3
Emissions range from 52 to 332,4
Top Speed range from 168,6 to 250,4
0-100 range from 5,1 to 12,4
Running costs from 1580 to 2892
Environmental res from 81,07 to 102,86
ABR (ambitious but rubbish) Designs, freshly founded car company in 5th floor apartment, looking for more suitable workshop

Somebody has a faster accelerating car than I do. WHO IS IT! (Also 320hp lol, so much penalty).

How does one get Env rest of 102? Increased quality on the chassis? Carbon fiber?

Re: Young Norwegian Car Enthusiast Challenge (closed, review

ohey, I got the lowest emissions
And that must've been an insane increase in chassis quality, +6 just got me +1 environmental resist. Full CF seems to be the only way...but how can that be within budget.

EDIT: also Strop, not as much penalty as you might think, just from running 800 cc above the minimum allowed you "missed out" on 32 points. Running 320 hp means a penalty of -22 points. Formulas are confusing :P

I guess many of the best and worst belong to that 320hp car :)

OH LAWL.

i can confirm that my car is the SLOWERST car on the field

84,2HP? me
107Nm torque? well... turns out it's NOT me
12.4s 0-60? also me
52 emission? weirdly not me. i think somebody else is using hyperteutic cast pistons.

now that i think about it...... that green hell bonus points are gonna kill me, and utility. should've gone 1.8l

also. did anybody end up going with v8s?

Not I, I'm running 1800cc! As the formula states:

Displacement - 1800cc

I think he means: if you would have gone for a 1000cc layout, you would have got 32 extra points. 1000 -1800 x -4 / 100 = 32

Oh yeah, I completely forgot about the bonus points going the other way! My bad guys, I'm pretty distracted.

No idea what the spread is, but mine is toward the higher range for all those except emissions, running costs, loudness, and 0-100. Not bad for a sub-200 hp turbocharged AWD wagon :D

Re: Young Norwegian Car Enthusiast Challenge (closed, review

So, here is the car I was originally struggling with so much and scrapped for the previous advertisement I showed you all. This car has been submitted as an exposition car, so here is an advert for it, too. Alas, if strop's is pushing (or even sub) 8 minutes on the Green Hell, he will never see this one because it will be far behind him. It is sub-9 minutes, however. The only caveat with the car is a lowered reliability of only 73-ish.

I give you the 2002 Banshee Sport GT, a 3 seater sport coupe with excitement written all over it. Featuring a DOHC 1.0L turbocharged engine producing 195hp and 186Nm of torque, this mid-engine car will get you 0-100 in only 5.8s. Using a full steel chasis and body panels, the car is made to last, yet still only weighs in at 1236kg. Braking from 100-0 is a breeze in under 32m (performance on ice and gravel may vary). There is a price for all of this joy, however. Fuel consumption is only a moderate 9.73L/100km. Best of all, it does this with a sticker price of only $33,000! This car is only available in Norway, so make your order online now!

Re: Young Norwegian Car Enthusiast Challenge (closed, review

I wish I could get a sub-8 minute with the car I had, but that would be tricky because thanks to all the offroad trimmings, it ended up a bit of a bus. Oh hell, it's actually slower than I remember... it might be a good race between the two actually!

(It's the original non-Norway trim that gets around the 8 1/2 minute mark.)

Re: Young Norwegian Car Enthusiast Challenge (closed, review

I'm far closer to 9 than 8 with mine, so the race won't be that great between them. ;)

EDIT: After reading yours more closely, I see you did not submit an 8.5 minute car. So maybe it will be good after all!
