"This video is private. Sorry about that"

Would you bother fixing that?

Fixed.

Edit*

I was not aware it was private as I did not set it to private while uploading. On closer inspection all the info I set was wiped as well, no tags, no description, nothing was kept for some reason. Might have something to do with the upload being interrupted at some point.

Re: BRC 1966 - Gentleman Brobots Club [RACE 5 P&Q]

I came up with another suggestion for the future of brobot. (If you prefer this in brc is dead thread please say it aaand it will be transported). ok...
I have a feeling that lighter cars are at slight disadvantage. Yes, you have less tyre wear...and that's it. You are in deep trouble when crash comes and lower absolute power is starting too show on faster tracks. How about lighter cars are less prone to crash in another vehicle? Being more nimble it would make sense that you can avoid more suff... Thoughts?

Re: BRC 1966 - Gentleman Brobots Club [RACE 5 P&Q]

@AirJordan: I think you're forgetting that weight increases costs and weight decreases cornering grip. It's not a simple relationship. I actually grabbed acemaster25's spreadsheet, dropped in the current points standings, and made a chart:
BRC66 weight vs points.png
BRC66 weight vs points.png (7.74 KiB) Viewed 17693 times

...so you can see that the correlation is pretty weak.

On an unrelated note: the Championship_Standings.csv file I downloaded seems to be bugged; I think the attached should be correct, including qualifying.

Re: BRC 1966 - Gentleman Brobots Club [RACE 5 P&Q]

Mm, I tried at one stage to make the comparison between results and various car qualities and it seemed very unlikely that there was any one silver bullet. The Weight being a good example. It's notable that not only do both the third heaviest and lightest cars have points, that also the top cars are so varied.

I've got this and the Aus GP in the same weekend. It's not half bad. ^_^

Good point - for that matter, I just checked, and the top two cars in the championship right now are Pyrlix at 712 kg and myself at 1104 kg. Sixth lightest and fourth heaviest out of 69.

I don't believe so - we reviewed Puffster's, but not Pyrlix's.
