'16 ARCHom *RESULTS 15-4*

So, Your Company has decided to enter the 2016 Automation Rally Championship. The only problem is that you have no car to enter with. You're going to have to build a car, and sell 250 models, and fast.

Rules:

Body:
3, 4, or 5 door Bodies Only
Trim year is 2016
Your base car can be up to 4 years old
No Limited Production Parts

Engine:
No Limited production parts
No Race Intake
4 to 8 Cylinders, in any layout
Must have an engine reliability of over 55
Loudness must be less than 60

Trim:
Gearbox: No Sequential.
Tyres: No Semi-Slick or Chunky Offroad. Quailty Sliders must be 0
Suspension: Any Layout or set-up
Aero: Any Set-up but No Active Wings or Cooling Flaps
Interior: Any Set-up.

General:
The Car must score highly in: Any Commuter, Family, or City Market with a +5% mark-up in (Default)
The Car must have an fuel economy of 10km/L or more.
Any mods from the Steam Workshop are allowed
Factory size must be Default.

To Send in your Submission, PM me the .zip file. The Format is:
Car name: ARCHom - [Your Name] - {Car Name}
Trim name: ARCHom - {Trim Name}
Engine name: ARCHom - [Your Name] - {Car Name}
Variant name: ARCHom - {Var. Name}

Scoring is the highest market score from each of the three market categories averaged out.

So, say you had 110 in Premium Commuter, 84 in Family Sport, and 54 in City Premium, You final score would be an Average of all 3, as those 3 were the highest demographics for each total market.

the top 3 will be reviewed in Astronaut Magazine.

Deadline is the 3rd March 2016, GMT+12 10:00pm.

There will also be a small mini challenge once the deadline ends of a looks challenge, where I will let you all decide on the best looking car, and crown the best looking car champ.

PART 2 WILL BE: You must take your Homologated Car, and BUILD A RALLY CAR! *I will sort this better at a later stage!

So no sedans? So according to this the Lancer Evo or Subaru Impreza WRX STI sedan never existed.

But are they in the WRC currently? No. The Current WRC has only hatches, so hatches only. I may run this if it works again in the early 2000's.

Those are the current WRC regulations. Notice the lack of regulation regarding hatchbacks and sedans.

I'll edit that then, and remove transverse rule.

Re: 2016 Automation Rally Championship Homologation Part 1

you have some flaws

powertrain: rally usually use AWD
Tyres: must be chunky, you cant use sport compound tyres on dirt and gravel
Suspension: should be offroad. your car can't be low, it needs ground clearance

This is a Homologation challenge. This is for the road cars, hence the name (Part 1)

Why do people think that rallying is purely an off-road thing? Makes me want to facedesk.

Re: 2016 Automation Rally Championship Homologation Part 1

Yeah, what about the tarmac stages? (Of which there are plenty).

Welp, with those kind of restrictions, I definitely can't homologate any of my own company cars LOL. I'll think about something else, maybe.

Re: 2016 Automation Rally Championship Homologation Part 1

Just to make sure, I can make my car to fit in either of the categories:
- Commuter budget, regular, prem;
- City budget, regular, eco, premium;
- Family budget, regular, premium, sport budget, sport regular, sport premium
?

And the goal/scoring system is based on
- relative score in single category?
- relative score in combined categories?
- Is sportiness required or just base engine and chassis for ARC?

Looking forward to the chalenge, just don't want to make bad decisions so early :)

For Part A: Yes.
For Part B: Goal is [Classified] but the scoring is average score over your highest score from the said catergories. Calculation: [Highest score in any of the Commuter Catergories + Highest Score in any of the City Catergories + Highest Score In any Of the Family Catergories / 3 = Final Score.]

Doesn't Matter, but make it logical for the markets.
