I think it really spoils the look of, well, any car to have exhaust pipes coming through the rear bumper/ fascia - think about it, what 1990ish car of Miata-ish standing have visible exhaust like that? A muffler and visible piping below the rear bumper, yes, but until I can cut a tiny half-moon in the bodywork and suspend a small canister and tip, I use the exhaust fixtures on maybe 2% of the cars I make. (Sorry devs, I think they look like utter shit.)
Miata? No. CRX? No. MR2? No. RX-7? No. Celica? No. Most cars in the real world did not, and DO not, have these.
Maybe some Corvettes, maybe some Italian "sports" cars, but not these types of cars. Nope.
TL;DR - If you make me put them on the cars, I will, but they really spoil the looks.
