Re: "Feel like a sir" car competition

Just a Few Thoughts.

- No turbo allowed- Oh Okay. Why Exactly?

- Safety > standard and no negative quality - I think it would be better to set a minimum safety number, as if we go for advanced safety, it can really actually save a lot of money.

- No wings -Why?

- Engine body and head in aluminium only - This is the most sensible choice for reliability, but it would make the competition more diverse to allow any type of material.

- Engine capacity < 400ml per piston (3,2l for a v8) Why limit engine sizes? That would just end up with very few varieties of cars, as everybody would have to go for the same type of engine.

Re: "Feel like a sir" car competition

Agreed with all those points, and also, why an engine economy limit? I get that you don't want people making engines that run really rich and not limit the total weight of the car etc, but it'd make more practical sense to stipulate an emissions and total fuel economy limit, especially if you get rid of the cc per cylinders.

Erm, I think you should have packed your files and sent them to who's running the challenge. This way everyone knows what you have done, and what would be necessary to beat you.

It's the other way around, you want secrecy. At least that is the point of most challenges, I think.

Re: "Feel like a sir" car competition

You Reeeeeally don't wanna show your stats, because as a competitor, I could make my car while looking at yours, go "That car has 60 prestige, So I'll bump up the prestige of my car."

The challenge for you is to find out how to get your car to have more prestige and still maintain other points :))

The OP tells you what the scores are, me calculating what my score is doesn't change what it is. If you can beat it, good for you. I'm not taking this too seriously.

That's fine, what's done is done. It is better for your chances if you don't post such information until after the deadline, but it is your choice on what to do.

I'm not taking this comp too seriously, especially considering the OP hasn't replied to anything yet and no one else seems to have entered either.

Re: "Feel like a sir" car competition

Most of us are likely not entering until queries about rules have been answered. Also, as implied, a single post then no further activity from the OP for a fortnight is not a good sign.
