Amateur Racing League Challenge [ Cancelled ]

Congratulations, you're grandparents are dead! Why are we celebrating? Because, for reasons your parents aren't entirely clear on, you just inherited $10,000! This is all well and good, but, because you're an idiot and don't know how to save it for something reasonable... like college, you'll instead do what any 17 year old punk does and blow it all on hookers and blow... err... a car.

Now, your parents won't let go just go and buy a car, when you have a reasonable 2002 Normandy Starlight on the street. They don't let you on the drive way because you don't pay the bills. Luckily, however, the universe has seen fit to throw you a bone, because you're best friend Chet's rich dad has a garage with a lift and a fair bit of tools. Although, his dad forbade him from doing any more welding after that one time he set his brother Kevin (fucking Kevin) on fire. So, you won't be able to do anything drastic, and will be relegated to strictly bolt-on accessories. But hell, 10K in bolt-on parts is a fair bit of kit.

So you and Chet decide to form an amateur racing team and join a local racing league. He'll bring his pimped out Miata and you'll bring your modded Starlight.

Your options are as follows:
Body:
You cannot change any materiels.
You cannot remold the body
You can change the paint
Add different fixtures

Engine:
Upgrade your existing engine, which must not exceed 2007 CC
block must remain Iron, Heads can be swapped for an Aluminum DOHC if you'd like.
Cranks, conrods and pistons are upgradable.
As is your fuel system
So is any VVL, VVT work
You can tweak your compression, cam profile, fuel mixture and ignition.
Go ahead... Add a turbo... I know you want to.
Wanna futz with the ECU and change your redline? Go for it.
Replace your headers and intake? Do it.

Trim:
Do a gearbox / driveline swap.
You cannot use an electric LSD
Any wheel options are acceptable
Anything other than CC brakes / Size and Type are free game
You wanna tweak the downforce? Go ahead
You can remove, but not add any interior options.
You can upgrade and tweak the suspension anyway you want.

You cannot use the quality sliders.
The Starlight currently stands at $8012.35. I'll round that down to $8000.
So your total cost cannot exceed $18,000.
Reliability must not fall below 50.
Safety must not fall below 35.

We will test the cars on:
The Top Gear Test Track
Indianapolis Motor Speed Way
The Sazuka Circuit
And, because I like top speed, the Bonneville LSR Course.

You'll have until June 25th, 12:00 PM Central Time.

Use similar file naming conventions as before but...
I want your zip file to contain the following folders.
Model
Trim
Family
Variant

In each of those will go the corresponding files.

Any and all questions are suggestions are okay.

What mods have you used in this car? I get LUA errors when loading saying I dont have a certain grill, I only use the Community Mod Pack.

Re: Amateur Racing League Challenge

I dont want to be a pain but when I load the car (tried 2 fresh car and mod "installs") it only comes up to a total cost of $8013.23 before I even touch anything. Wonder if I should do a complete reinstall of Automation, it has been a while.

Nope. You're right. It glitched out when I tried to uploaded it. The price stands at 8000.

Re: Amateur Racing League Challenge

I think the problem is your intro to the rules where you stated $8900 after rounding. ;) Might wanna fix that?

Re: Amateur Racing League Challenge

I'm very new so I apologize if my questions seem silly. You say no quality sliders, does this include quality for tires and suspension. Also can I convert it to AWD?
