Cars: a mini 2 wheeled single cyl car :D

Re: Automation Airfield Power Lap Times

ill be further refining and posting the said FWD mini monster here. it's small, its (relatively) cheap, it's light, it's fast.

on another note, on this track, i think a smaller lighter and nimble car would profit way more than a high powered ones.
like, mine, compared to the canto MM, it's less than a second slower, a tad bit cheaper, even with higher margin (Year 2017 though).
achieved through an engine less than half the HP numbers, and weight bit more than half of that. even with FF layout.

13.8km/l in a supersport FTW :P

This car is a Sports Coupe.
When I built this trim of the car I wanted to have a high RPM range for some reason. But that caused problems with top speed and I lowered it from 9000RPM to 8000RPM. I plan to build an Economy trim of the car, most likley using a 4.0 i4 I created before this car.

I will edit this as soon as I post the car in the car design sharing thread.

Half price, half power, half weight... half prestigious ;)

EDIT: I think mine could be maybe 1 and a half seconds faster, but with the new rebalancing I don't know how to tune the suspension for MR cars anymore :(

Re: Automation Airfield Power Lap Times

OP updated.

Also, please remember that this isn't only about having the fastest times, it's about creating a useful benchmarking tool for everyone to use, new players and experienced players alike. If someone makes a car but isn't sure if it's fast enough, they could come here and compare their car against other cars. That's the idea of this.

It comes down to this... one of our new engineers decided to break with company convention and build something fast, that could also handle itself decently off road. Despite keeping with some of DMA's typical less is more styling this thing really looks odd, even by our standards.

At the end of 2002, Meliora stoped the production of its sports cars. Then, 2 years later presented a Concept Car in a small autoshow, ony reffered as Super GT. The next year, the concept car was released but with a different name, Canto (spanish word for singing) featuring a 3.5 liters turbo V8, pushing 414 hp. A great GT car, but some sports fans wanted more, and in 2006 the Meliora Canto MM was presented, with a NA 5 liters V8, pushing 500hp and taking only 3.5s from 0-60. This machine was a limited version (as all the MM trims) and only 300 were produced. Up to this day, it remains as a valuable car for collectors and for enthusiasts as well.

Intended use: Production (limited)
Year: 2006
Power & Torque ratings: 507bhp @ 7,800rpm -- 388ft-lb @ 4,900rpm
Price: $87,472 MSRP (12% profit)
NA
Weight: 1454.9 kg
Format: MR
Class: Supercar

Airfield track time: 1:16.67
EDIT: Scratch that, 1,000 cars it's a lot

what mods were used?

Looking pretty populated now. We'll be able to do some pretty decent comparisons soon between production cars. With that said, we do need more race cars!

Working on something that will literally blow things off the track. Even if they are the one passing it.

Just because of how much air its pushing.

I'm gonna get working on a few GT and Touring race cars. I wanna see how this stuff stacks up.

Re: Automation Airfield Power Lap Times

@chlumsky: yeah that happens a lot. We can expect a few hundredths in variation due to file reading irregularities

@vri404: it's honestly not that difficult. I'm only not posting any of my 1:05 production builds because the engine formats they require in my official company lore are not available.

Also I think the price is kept down because chlumsky may not be using CF. Other handy points of comparison between that and the Salamander include:

1) interior trim (Salamander has sports seats, standard infotainment, and safety sufficient to be sold in all areas)
2) reliability (Salamander's engine reliability is 77 and I don't run my cars hot)
3) fuel type (Salamander runs 95RON)
4) tyres (like all my road cars, I use sports 8+, and this makes a huge difference, if I used semi slicks 15+ I'd be running 1:05 or better)
5) profit margin (as I mentioned mine had 34%... It's a small company :P )

I tried looking up the Chlumsky car information but could only find the same as what was posted here. Consider this me applying a little pressure for greater transparency.
Speaking of which, modern cars have a minimum safety requirement. For Gasmea it's 35, for Fruinia it's 40. I don't know about Archana but I'd suggest that safety status of the car is mandatory if it's to be production legal.
