Sure, people have brands here with a reputation, but even in reality you would choose the best compromise instead of the car from your favourite brand, even if its inferior.
Not pointing at anyone here, but an car that is 6000$ above the average price
I mean... lets have an example. You have a tight budget, a family and look for a car. You cannot spend billions on it, nor should it drink a lot of fuel. Would you choose a car from a established brand, even if it costs 7000-10000$ more than the alternative from france or italy?
You can see the spec sheet: It drinks twice as much fuel as the alternatives, its insurance and taxes cost nearly 3x as much and the service costs a ton more. It has less space for cargo, its twitchy to drive - BUT it has a very high topspeed and super fast acceleration. You would've to be VERY brand loyal and VERY blind to choose that one over the cheaper alternatives.
Yes it is more prestigious, yes its faster - but is that the point of an affordable family car? Certainly not.
Consider it the next time. Dont just look at the stats, look at the purchase, maintenance and upkeep costs too. Imagine YOU are the customer, YOU have to buy the car and drive it for atleast 3 years or more. Sometimes a more expensive car on purchase can be cheaper over the course of 2-3 years due do lower taxation, insurance or fuel costs - those are things you as the "customer" have to consider.
And if you really really like the car company, then you should buy it, as long as its not absolutely illogical. I would've never bought my Alfa if it would cost 5k€ more... because for that money I could drive something that is much better, instead i bought something that is still not the best value for money (there were plenty of E90 BMWs...), but i can live with the small drawbacks and have the car i really like.
Just my opinion as the game host, you can vote whatever you want, but be realistic with it.
<Killrob> you commited a lot of crimes... among others against: 1) international minimum intelligence laws 2) human rights to a brain 3) act against devolution of the human mind
