Seems like awesome giant cruiser incoming here. Keep up the good work!

Oh, I like the look of that! A car like that, it begs to have the best luxury seating and all the goodies, and a massive engine.

That'll be quite fun, I think.

Thanks guys!

I chose the Lincoln Continental because it's a great looking car (I'd love to own a 1963 convertible one someday), but also because of how simple the bodywork is... well, I was wrong. So many subtle curves in the bodywork, and I'm too much of a perfectionist to ignore them (except just enough to make the car fairly generic), so it's taking longer than the van. I'm also trying to make it higher quality, so there's that.

Anyways, here's a nice view of some progress on that. I figure it'll be pretty smooth sailing once I take care of the quarter panels.

Love me some slab-side Lincons. Can't wait. :P

Progress update:

That's the hardtop, but I'll also get a convertible done. I'm also considering making a coupe version (same wheelbase), though that likely won't be right away.

Can't wait for release of it (not forcing to do it btw). The weird thing is that it looks like great GT cruiser that would mount huge V12 and can be directed to Europe.

Looking forward to it, actually. Nice big highway cruiser that should be able to swallow up a simply massive V8, or a comfortably big V12. Those older Lincoln Continentals were very beautiful cars. Can't wait to make a wonderful luxury car with one.

Figured it's time for another progress update. I got 3ds Max running on my new laptop now, and unlike my old one, I can model and run Automation at the same time without any lag. :D

I've just got to finish the bumpers and make the mirrors and the mesh will be complete (provided I don't see anything I need to change)

Looks nice. Do you have any prior experience with other programs before Max? :)

Just Sketchup. If you've ever used that, you can understand why I had so many issues making the first model. I needed tutorials just to draw in 3ds Max, whereas Sketchup is basically like MS Paint for 3D modelling.

I hope you test it with a maxed out v12, we need something that can take any engine, no matter the size.

Usually the issue is the height of the engine bay, so mid-engine layout (or some kind of gigantic pickup or SUV) are the only ones that could get the height without a huge power bulge of some kind. That being said, I'll see what I can do while keeping the car realistic.
