Love the super mega large engine bay (I dropped a 3.4Lt I6 in it), but I think a tweak may be in order. I noticed, when using the sedan, that the "standard" intake for the Mech' injection protrudes through the radiator. Some folks might get a bit cranky when playing in tycoon mode. If this has been discussed, feel free to ignore me.

This has happened to me as well, but with a different body. It appears to be a bug in the game as the engine size calculations seem to ignore the intake size. Did a forum search, and it has been mentioned here: viewtopic.php?p=31492#p31492

Only thing missing is a V6 to put in it.

Also, great job with the back morphs. The lack of morhping range is a thing that annoys me a little with some of the vanilla cars. You also seem to have been able to do it w/o any weird kinks or bumps, as the reflections still look nice.

Holy shit it does too. Great work on the Morphs.

Just one bit of feedback (As I'm currently putting models in game) please make sure you assign the right material numbers to the "ProjectionSeamMaterials" bit of Body.lua , right now they seem to be assigned to random numbers, so the stamping across seams doesn't work.

Re: Partario's mods & stuff

I have no idea what I did wrong, but I lost all the morphing data from the skin modifier some time last week (just when I had it nearly finished :D ), so I had to start all over again. That's the reason It's been taking so long.

Finished redoing most of it today. Hope to release it soon and add a coupe and convertible versions too.

Just tested it by building some cars with the body

This looks brilliant Partario! The morphs are excellent, great stuff.

It would be amazing if you could maybe do a version with windows to make it looks exactly like the Lantis, it's one of my favourite cars. :)

Re: Partario's mods & stuff

The 90s sedan/coupe is now finished, but there are a couple bugs that need sorted out before I can release it.

In the meanwhile I tried making some old Russian/Italian steel:

Re: Partario's mods & stuff

Here it is! A car that consists of a smaller box on top of a bigger box! The simplest designs often work the best, as the Fiat 124 (which this car is clearly NOT based on) has proven.

Available in four door and two door configuration. Can be morphed in a variety of ways.

Note: there is one minor bug that I'm aware of. The rear wheel goes through the flare when offset to the max. I'm not what's the best way to fix it. I *might* make the wheel arches larger, but that would make it look different from the source material and lose some of its charm IMO.

Any feedback is welcome! If you find a bug, let me know.

Re: Partario's mods & stuff -- Updated w/ new body

Datson 510 clones here we come!

EDIT: I did notice that rear wheel wells are a bit small, if you use anything taller then a 495mm tall tire it shows through the fender.

Re: Partario's mods & stuff -- Updated w/ new body

Depends on how wide you go.

But this tend to be a problem in general with cars that have the wheels partially hidden, the upper width limit lets you make the tire show through the fender.

Still, when using live rear axle suspension, you can fit 185s with the maximum diameter and it doesn't poke through. IMHO this is more than enough for the purpose of this body.

As for the body, I have to say that it looks pretty good. Nice job :D

Only issue is that the radiator pokes through at the bottom, I would recommend trying a smaller value for the "MorphNose" setting in the .lua. The value of that setting can be negative if needed.

Re: Partario's mods & stuff -- Updated w/ new body

^ Aside from the tire coming through the wheel wells the body does look awesome.

@trackpaduser 185's are pretty skinny, if you have anything bigger then an eco I4 in there it will wheel spin for days.

Nice body Partario, I've enjoyed working with your first car body and I'm anticipating continued happiness with this new body :)

@np1993: This body'd make a great base for an updated "Comrade Cup" 8-)

Re: Partario's mods & stuff -- Updated w/ new body

It's a really nice body, the wheel arches size are very good. Easy to make a car with wide enough wheels but not too "tuner". But I do still think that, like your 80's family car. It's much too wide for what it should be. Fiat 124 was only 1.625m wide, Lada 2107 was only 1.617m wide, Datsun 510 was only 1.560m wide, but that's a Japanese car so they taxed them on how wide they are. Apparently your body is 1.8m wide, which in my opinion is much wider than it should be. :)

In the same way, your 80's body is 2m wide, which is much too wide considering the car I use it as for many time, the Opel Omega A. That car actually was a one size bigger car than your 80's family car (E-Segment instead of D-Segment, which is what I think you intended the family body to be), was only 1.772m wide!
