Thank you Mario! But our Princess is in another workshop.

Thanks NormanVauxhall for idea.

btw, it's such a great body, thanks for spending time and effort on this! :)

EDIT: I don't know if that how it is, but it seems to me that this car produce downforce even without any aerodynamic aids.

Re: Maffc's 3D Stuff

1970s Wedged Saloon ***Please note this mod is no longer available for download as it is included in the base game***
My first mod is inspired by the Leyland 18-22 Series, (AKA Leyland/Austin Princess).
It comes in 16 variants across 3 wheelbase sizes.
Image

The Medium sized car is based on the IRL car, which was designed to be a Hatchback, but BL management decided it should be a saloon.
Extract Zip contents to \Automation\assets\meshes\cars\Front\Small
It comes with 6 variants
2 Door Coupe
4 Door Sedan
3 & 5 Door Hatchback
Wagon
Light Van
Image

The Larger variety is essentially the medium car with a scaled up wheelbase and some design tweaks to the nose.
Extract Zip contents to \Automation\assets\meshes\cars\Front\Large
This pack comes with 3 variants.
2 door Coupe
4 door sedan
5 door Hatchback (which will morph into a reasonable Wagon.)
Image

The small pack is also the medium car but scaled down. Although some design elements were pinched from the Austin allegro it is not completely inspired by it, so will have plenty of inaccuracies if compared to it.
Extract Zip contents to \Automation\assets\meshes\cars\Front\Small
This pack comes with 7 variants.
2 Door Coupe
4 Door Sedan
3 & 5 Door Hatchback
3 & 5 Door Wagon
Light Van
Image

I Hope you enjoy.

Re: Maffc's 3D Stuff

For the lift calculations, try this: https://automationgame.com/gamefiles/Au ... lator.xlsx

This is what the link in the tutorial vid should be pointing to.

Edit: Looked at the car, you did a very nice job. The morphing works fairly nicely and with some fine tuning it will be perfect.

As for the models, The shape of the rear wheel well is slightly weird. I would also recheck the smoothing groups on the hood, because you have visible seams on a seemingly flat surface.

But apart from that, it is a very well done car mod. Better IMHO than my first release of the mini-truck.

Re: Maffc's 3D Stuff

Great car, Maffc!

You really made a superb job in this one, thank you very much.

However, as Conan pointed out, you should have a look at those downforce values. Also, the bonnet level morph, which you had trouble to make useful, can't really be picked on my game. Did you give up on that or is it a little bit tricky?

Re: Maffc's 3D Stuff (Updated 29/01 20:18GMT)

Thanks Conan for pointing out the "freebie" downforce. It was a Schoolboy error  - C&P positive values into the LUA file instead of negative ones.

Trackpaduser, Thanks for the feedback.
Wheelwell - The actual car IRL had squared off arches. The chassis assets in game seem to be geared for rounder arches so I attempted to taper the inside to go from squared to round to hide the discrepancy. Is it this that you think is a bit weird? Lemme know pls.
Hood - the model actually has an ever so slight hump in the centre so the smoothing effects were intentional. I am considering removing the hump as part of refining the morphs as it kind of spoils one I had intended, but not implemented.
